Schoolboy boxers win GM finals

BURY ABC fighters Ibrahim Nadim and Danish Muhammed have made it through to the next round of the National Schoolboy Boxing Championships.
Both boys won their finals in the Greater Manchester leg of the competition, which were held in Gorton at the weekend.
Muhammed stopped M Moran, of Moss Side Fire Station, in the second round of their Class Two (for boys born in 1998) bout in the 42-44kilo division.
Nadim, who was fighting in the 32-34k division of Class One (for boys born in 1998), beat J Walsh, of Northside, 23-16 on points.
Two other Bury ABC boxers – Kaleem Hill and Nadeem Shah – made it through to the finals but both lost by a single point.
